The second visual art works by Ra’ad Charity Auction has recorded a reflection through empathy

By the presence of a group of artists, authorities of cultural organization,deputies and of course art lovers; the second charity auction of Visual Arts by Ra’ad charity organization was held in the conference hall.


 


According to the unit of public relations of Ra’ad complex; the event began with the recitation of holly Quran and the national anthem of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Sedigheh Akbari, chairman of the complex, shortly remarked her appreciation to the art works followers while mentioning: the support of philanthropic people made it possible to empower this educational Institute to prompt students, trainees and collegians to use the best features and facilities by your support to reach the ultimate goal that is permanent employment.


 


Mrs. Akbari also added: utilizing valuable experiences of the first auction held last year has assisted the groups of Ra’ad women and youth contributors to present the second audition in a respected worthy way of your attendance. Thanking the assistance of their efforts, I’m hopeful to receive your helpful instructions.





Toofan Garakani, moderator of the event, joined the stage then began to introduce artistic works individually and provide a description of the artist's style, features and effects of the previous records, prepared the groundwork for the present in the auction.


 


Paintings and sculptures of famous artists went on auction where 55 works were auctioned for 500 million Tomans ( ~ 143,000 USD) for the benefit of educational and rehabilitation activities by Ra’ad charity.


 


The second charity auction of visual art works was held on Jan. 22nd, after a week later than the exhibition held at the conference hall of the charity.


 


This unparalleled auction was welcomed by enthusiasm of the attendance and last for more than 3 hours. Meanwhile, 75 artistic works by national well-known artists were exposed including:  painting, sculpture, photo frame and woven panels; purchasers, on the other hand, bided amounts more often than base prices estimated by experts and bought their selected items.


 


In the end of the event, it has been announced that financial turn-over of the second auction was around 500 million Tomans ( ~ 143,000 USD) which came from selling 55 presented items; therefore, comparing to the last year, Ra’ad charity foundation has experienced a growth of 27 percent while 70 percent of exposed items were attained the attention of participants.


 


At last, Asaa Barati, Auction’s Executive Manager, expressed his satisfaction of presenting the Ra’ad’s second charity auction within a short dialogue and thanked all the attendants during the one-week exhibition and auction event as they had shared their comments and support the Ra’ad organization.


 


Rahman Alagheband, Gallery Auction Project Administrative, referred to the impressive welcoming by the people through this cultural program and also mentioned: we thank all the deputies especially the Ministry of Culture and Islamic guidance that helped Ra’ad charity organization for the successful implementation of this auction. We welcome the presence of philanthropic artists and similar cultural programs in the future.


 


It’s worthwhile to mention that Ra’ad Philanthropic Educational Institute has just passed its 30th activity’s anniversary and provides gratis services in the fields of education, rehabilitation, employment and higher education of people with disabilities.
