Ra’ad Rehabilitation Goodwill Complex was established under the laws of Islamic Republic of Iran in 1984 (Reg. No.2811). RRGC is a private charity institution, dedicated solely to promote the cause of the physically disabled community.
The institution started its activities with five applicants in a temporarily donated premise of two small rooms at a charity medical clinic, located in a low income suburb, south of Tehran. RRGC now operates from its own building, a nearly 4,000 m2 (in excess of 40,000 sq.ft.) facility, constructed on a parcel of land measuring 2,800 sq m. to which RRGC holds the title deed.
As an educational, philanthropic and charitable institution, Ra'ad offers three broad areas of services including:
- Rehabilitation (physiotherapy, occupational and speech therapy, orthopedic and daily mental health care)
- Vocational training (computer programming and operation, hardware assembly, typing, civil and industrial drafting, accounting, home appliance repairs, sewing, sculpture, flower making and pottery)
- And a variety of auxiliary or support services including honorary loans, financial grants, in-house and referral medical services by volunteer physicians, transportation to and from a downtown station, library facilities, counseling services, social work assistance, home visits and marriage counseling, more...>>
At the middle of May each year, there is a festival in Raad which is tempting for many people, a delicious festival for the gutty. This festival is also held in the open environment of this organization from 16th to 18th of May (27- 29 Ordibehesht). If you own a restaurant or catering, you are able to attend in this festival.
Explaining plans meeting of Safe Community was held with the presence of trainees, coaches and a group of Raad’s staff.
Reporting by the public relations of Raad, Dr Reza Khani, head of the Health, Security and The Environment Faculty of Shahid Beheshti University pointing to the Zahra (peace be upon her)’s martyrdom, noted that her endeavors and efforts during her life were for perfectly establishment of Islam and prevention of the diversion.
The celebration of Fatemeh Zahra (peace be upon her)’s birthday was hed in Raad with the presence of trainees, and family members of Tavan Yaban.
Reporting by the public relations of Raad, at the beginning of this celebration, Sedigheh Akbari, head of Raad congratulated her birthday and pointed that: Raad has made its efforts to empower Tavan Yaban and doesn’t ignore anything for reaching its goal.
