launching of the supported employment workshop in Ra'ad Charity Complex

The first day of supported employment workshop by the welfare organization of the country , in collaboration with the Ra'ad  Charity Complex , was held with the presence of the Maysa center teachers from Sweden and rehabilitation experts from the Ra'ad center and welfare organization of the provinces and associations of the disabled. 
According to public relations report of Ra'ad complex,
A supported employment workshop is designed to introduce professional rehabilitation experts in the country to the new methods of employment in the field of people with disabilities which was held for 3 days(fom April 20 to April 22) in the conference hall.
In launching ceremony of this workshop, Dr. Mohammad Kamali ,Professor of Iran Medical Sciences University and Dr. Zahra Noparast ,Director General of Rehabilitation Affairs office of the welfare  organization expressed the necessity of familiarizing the country professional rehabilitation exports with the new ways of empowering people with disabilities.
In the following, Mansooreh Panahi , The head of Swedish instructors group with a Master's degree in psychology of labour and occupational Therapy, Christina Neurlin , A master's degree in physiotherapy and Nalo Parubio, A master's degree in social work lectured.
In part of the workshop, Mansooreh Panahi described the supported employment method.
At the moment, In Europe and the United States, the supported employment method is the most important and most successful method of employing vulnerable groups and persons with disabilities.
This method is not currently taught in Asia.
She added: I hope that in the near future , with the cooperation of Ra'ad charity and the welfare organization , We can implement the supported employment method for Asian countries.
The workshop in 3 days and 2 turns,in the morning and evening, will introduce to 85 members of welfare experts and NGOs through supported employment method by providing practical examples of employment of persons with disabilities along with Q&A sessions.
