Raad organization’s Applied Science Center was opened with the presence of the head of the Welfare Organization

11 اردیبهشت 2012

Before the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and during the glorious Fajr days, the first academic center for Tavan Yaban (the physically disabled people) entitled Elmi Karbordi (Applied Sciences) was opened.

The head of the Welfare Organization Dr. Hossein Hashemi, attended in this event, with some of the Tavan Yaban, and managers and responsible of this organization, reported by Raad’s public relations.

At the beginning of this event, Dr. Hossein Alagheh Band, Elmi Karbordi Center’s head, recalling the necessity of empowering the disabled and providing opportunities for their scientific growth, emphasized:

During the history, there have been elites and prominent disabled people who have dedicated rich and honorable works.

This confirms the existence of special abilities among this group of people. He, noting the history of the establishment of Elmi Karbordi Center, stated: this center has currently four training courses and has attracted 250 students and intends to obtain the permission for master degree and doctoral in near future.

The head of Raad’s Elmi karbordi’s center calling the related institutions and benevolent citizens, noted: with the purpose of preparing the opportunities for Tvaan Yaban to continue their education, Raad provide the limited numbers of Tavan Yaban with the educational supports. If the facilities of governmental entities and benevolent people are allocated to Tavan Yaban, the great participation and presence of them will be seen in society.

Dr. Maryam rasouliyan, a member of the board of directors of Raad stated: since 25 years, the board of directors have planned to implement the cycle of Tavan Yaban’s education with preparing facilities for them to continue their education at university level.

She added that the Raad’s permission is that it is collective; means both Tavan Yaban and the other students can register at these courses. This center is a university, facilitated for the disabled people, but with the presence of other students, their self confidence will increase.

Dr. Homayun Hashemi, the head of the Welfare Organization said: preparing the instruments and facilities and also the financial support for such a purpose is one of the patterns for human resource development.

He added: a way for surviving these difficulties is training students, and establishment of such centers. We need the elites and intellectuals to be in different arena of the society. The scientific-cultural centers in part have solved this problem, and in near future they will solve it completely.

Song groups of Raad performed some songs during this event and received standing ovations. And in a part of this event the responsible of Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, Elmi Karbordi University and Welafer Organization were appreciated by appreciation letter.
