We Are Proud of Your Ability

This year’s motto of Raad “We are proud of your ability” was determined to prove the handicapped abilities. At the beginning of the ceremony, Sedigheh Akbari, the managing director of Raad congratulated the day:

In Raad, we try to draw the handicapped from the corner of their rooms to the society and educate them to be able to earn money for themselves.

With owning 18 active centers in the country, Raad has been able to establish Raad Elmi Karbordi University, in which the handicapped can continue their education in accounting, computer and graphics. A high percentage of the graduates of this university are working now.

I am inspired by you

After that, the message of UN Secretary General was read. Ban Ki Moon’s message, pointing to the handicapped abilities, says “Paralympics this year reminded the potential of the handicapped.  A girl wrote to a gold medal winner:”I’m inspired by you, while I witnessed how you solve the life’s problem and win.”

Our challenge is offering equal access of everything the people need. As the negotiators of UN Summit this year for sustainable development entitled “Rio+20” agreed, equal access for the future we want, is necessary.

Then, Dr. Mohammad Kamali called for the much more attention by the officials. He read the message of the jury of “the first festival for Tavan Yaban and the cyber world’.  And at the end of the festival, some winners received gifts. Mr. Akbar Faramarzi and Ms. Masoumeh Aali, Sedigheh Vashaghani and Mahdieh Sarlak from Raad, and Mr Mehrdad Zandi, Mani Razavi Zadeh and Ms. Fatemeh Safaei and Zaynab Naseri received gifts.
